No gambling

This site and the OFC Poker app involve no real-money gambling. The coins, stakes and trophies in the app are play money with no cash value. You can buy coins, and you can win them at the table — but they cannot be cashed out, exchanged for anything, or transferred to another player. They only buy you a seat at the next hand.

The guides on this site explain a card game that people sometimes play for money among themselves. Whether that's legal where you are is your business, and nothing here is an invitation to bet.

Who you play against

Matches against Beginner, Grinder and Shark are always against the computer, and say so. In Ranked, your opponents may be computer-controlled players. Ranked matches you with an opponent of similar strength, and when there's no one suitable waiting, that opponent is played by the game. Computer-controlled opponents play by the same rules as you: they never see your cards or the deck, and they never get a card you couldn't have got. Trophies, leagues and the Ranked leaderboard count those matches the same way.

Private matches are only ever between the people who joined with the code.

Ranked entries

Each Ranked match uses one entry. Entries refill by themselves over time, up to a maximum, and you can also get one by watching an ad or fill them up with coins. Some coin packs include days of unlimited Ranked, counted from the moment of purchase. Entries and unlimited days only let you play: they never change your odds, your opponent or the trophies a match is worth. Like coins, they have no cash value and can't be transferred. The numbers (how many, how fast they refill, what they cost) may change.

Buying coins

Coins, “No Ads” and the unlimited Ranked days that come with some packs are sold by Apple through the App Store on iPhone, and by Google through Google Play on Android, under that store's terms and with its payment methods. We never see your card details.

Coins are consumed when you use them and are not refundable by us — if you want a refund, that's the store's to give: Apple's from reportaproblem.apple.com, Google's from your Google Play order history. “No Ads” is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID or Google account, and you can restore it on another phone of the same kind from the shop.

If a purchase is refunded, we take back what it granted where we still can: “No Ads” comes off. Coins already spent at the table can't be unspent, so they aren't clawed back, and neither are unlimited Ranked days.

The app deletes your account from Settings, and doing that does not refund anything — the two things are separate, and Apple or Google handles the money.

The content

The rules, charts and strategy on this site are written as accurately as we can manage, and the scoring figures match the engine the app runs. But house rules vary between tables and rooms — where a rule commonly differs, the page says so. Agree your house rules before playing for anything that matters. We're not liable for an argument at your kitchen table.

The beta

Beta access is free and provided as-is. Builds are unfinished software: expect bugs, expect features to change, and expect that in-game progress may be reset between builds. We may end the beta or change how it works at any time.

The invite is distributed through Apple TestFlight and is subject to Apple's TestFlight terms as well as these.

Fair use of the site

Read it, link to it, quote it with attribution. Don't scrape it to republish wholesale, and don't hammer the signup endpoint — it's rate-limited and abuse just gets the address blocked.

Liability

The site is provided without warranty. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from using it or from acting on what it says.
